Sarah started working for Cruickshank Pryde (CP Law) when she was admitted to the Bar in 1999. Sarah worked for six years in the Invercargill office until 2005 when she moved to the United Kingdom where she lived for two years working as a lawyer and travelling extensively throughout Europe. When Sarah moved back to New Zealand in 2007 she resumed employment with Cruickshank Pryde and became the firm's first female partner in 2009.

Sarah and her husband Danny (who was born in Queenstown) live in Arthurs Point with their nine year old daughter, Isabel. Sarah's time outside of work is largely focused on Isabel, but she's looking forward to getting back into golf and in winter, skiing. In the summer Sarah loves her time on Lake Wakatipu and Lake Wanaka boating, fishing and water skiing with her family.
